Exactly three weeks from today, we're leaving for Philidelphia where we'll spend two days meeting our fellow Peace Corps Volunteers and attending some basic information sessions. Then we’re off to Cameroon on the 19th of September.
So where will we live? Not sure exactly. For the first three months, we’ll be training in the city of Garoua, in the North Province (check out the map in the post about Cameroon on August 2). Garoua is fairly large among Cameroonian cities as it is the capital of the North Province, and is located in the Sahel region of the country. During this time we’ll be living with host families who will help us get acquainted with the local culture and language (French). After three months, we’ll move to our post, which we do not know yet. Most likely our post will be in the north of the country, either the North, Far North, or Adamawa Provinces (in all, the Greater North of Cameroon).

Great blog Jessie!!
Couldn't agree with you more about this being the way to communicate.
I've gone through it pretty quickly and have noticed a trend developing.......NO POSTS BY BRIAN.
Let's get with it Brian. Next time I log on you had better post something....or else I tell your father.
